We're always sharing different reasons about why it's important to keep your equipment updated. Most of those reasons are for production efficiency and data protection, but there's a financial reason we want to remind you about that you can benefit from if you plan now.
If your company has some remaining funds this year, consider upgrading computer equipment or software. Section 179 of the IRS tax code lets businesses deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment up to $1,080,000. Instead of depreciating newly acquired equipment over several years, customers can take the full deduction now and save real money on their bottom line. Customers just need to purchase or lease equipment and have it in service by December 31. That includes new or used equipment like copiers, printers, and phone systems, plus off-the-shelf software that hasn't been customized.
To learn more about Section 179, see our flyer here or give us a call at (970) 821-8588. If your technology needs an upgrade, be sure to take advantage of Section 179.
